I am a director based in Britain filming drama productions for the UK, Germany and the United States. In my previous careers I was an investigative journalist on documentaries for BBC radio and television as well as a scriptwriter for BBC News. I speak Italian, Spanish and French.

My recent productions include:

Inspector George Gently

Director on the opening episode of the period police drama with Martin Shaw and Lee Ingleby. Produced by Company Pictures for BBC One and the PBS network in the US.

Mr Selfridge

Lead director on the final series of the period drama starring Jeremy Piven as Harry Selfridge. I also directed on the previous series. Co-produced by ITV and Masterpiece / WGBH for broadcast in the UK and the US.

Soko Leipzig special

Film for the German television channel ZDF about the hunt for a jihadi cell. The executive producer is Joerg Winger who is the show runner on Deutschland ’83.

Law & Order: UK

A Kudos production for ITV adapting episodes of the award winning American series for the British criminal justice system. Produced by Richard Stokes.

World Express

Feature film for the German television channel RTL. An action adventure filmed in Mexico about the exploits of an international courier service.

Manhunter

Period drama about the exploits of a big game hunter in Africa. Single film shot in South Africa for BBC2.

 

I have directed on Waking The Dead with Trevor Eve on BBC1 and Hope & Glory a schools drama with Lenny Henry also on BBC1. I have filmed episodes of Soko Leipzig as well as Holby, Casualty and The Bill for which I was nominated for a Bafta.
